Kids Event: 3 Dance Intensive Summer Camp 2012

With the emergence of popular shows, such as So You Think You Can Dance, a consistent observation is that the most well-rounded dancers always shine.   It is with this concept in mind that we at Light Up The Floor are pleased to introduce our 3 Dance Intensive Summer Camp 2012.

This full day camp will expose your child to 3 dance forms in a fun environment while taking their dance experience to the next level.  Whether your child has danced before or just loves music and movement, they will leave this camp experience with a sincere appreciation for what it takes to discover their inner passion for dance.  Studies show that dancing makes you smarter, so keep our young ones “sharp” over the summer while having a blast!

 Dance forms covered during a week’s camp are as follows:

1. Formal Ballroom: Cha Cha, Waltz, Rumba
2. Social Dance: Salsa, Merengue, Bachata
3. Dance Fit: Hip Hop, Reggaeton, Funk/Pop/Modern

Each of these dances has been selected with both boys and girls in mind.  Our camp’s main goal is to teach your child how to switch from one dance form to another with ease, thereby making them a more charismatic dancer.

All our instructors have a true passion for working with children and have been hand selected as some of the top professionals in their field within the GTA.  More information on our instructors and daily agenda for the camp will follow.  Limited spots available (we will not take more than 14 kids per week as this would reduce the attention each child would receive during class time with the instructor).  It is important to us that your child has a fantastic experience.  Email us to secure your spot.

 Registration Details

 Cost per week (5 days)

• Early bird $275 due by 15th May
• Regular rate $300 due by 15th June
• Last minute $325 due 2 days before camp starts (subject to availability)

Times: Mon – Fri; 9am – 4pm

• (extra child care before and after drop off available at $10/hour/child)

Ages: 6+

• Week 1: Mon 16th July – Fri 20th July (5 days)  NOT AVAILABLE
• Week 2: Mon 23rd July – Fri 27th July (5 days)

Payment can be made in person or over the phone.
